MRT — Moral Reconation Therapy®

MRT is a structured cognitive-behavioral program developed to address decision-making, moral reasoning, and behavioral accountability. Participants advance through defined curriculum work with facilitator review rather than receiving credit for attendance alone.

What MRT addresses

  • Decision-making patterns
  • Personal responsibility
  • Beliefs and behaviors that contribute to harmful choices
  • Trust, relationships, and goal setting
  • Short-term reactions and long-term consequences
  • Commitment to consistent, prosocial behavior

What participation may include

  • Scheduled facilitator-led group meetings
  • An authorized participant workbook
  • Written assignments outside the group
  • Participant presentations or step work
  • Facilitator feedback and objective review
  • Attendance and participation requirements

Program length varies according to the curriculum, referral requirements, attendance, assignment completion, and demonstrated progress. True North does not promise completion by a particular date unless the timeline is supportable.

Format and scheduling

Current group availability, delivery format, enrollment date, required materials, and fees are confirmed during the requirement review. When virtual participation is offered, the participant needs a private location, reliable internet, a working camera and microphone, required materials, and approval for virtual participation when required.

Completion standards

  • Required attendance and timely arrival
  • Full-session participation and appropriate conduct
  • Completed workbook activities
  • Facilitator-reviewed progress
  • Payment of agreed fees
